Wastewater Department

The City of Algona Wastewater Department responsibilities include operating the City’s wastewater treatment plant, maintaining all of the collection system which includes approximately 50 miles of existing sewer lines and 4 lift stations.  They also are busy videotaping all of the existing sewer lines and storm sewer systems to ensure proper operating lines to detect any repairs that are needed as to minimize costly future repairs.  The Wastewater Treatment Plant is located at 801 W. McGregor St.
