SHELTER HOUSE RESERVATIONS

The enclosed wing of the Veterans Park Shelter House may be reserved by calling the City Clerk's Office at 295-2411, or by stopping by City Hall. Reservations for each year are taken beginning the first working day after New Year's Day. Cost is $15 for weekdays and $25 for weekends. A $40 damage deposit is also required and will be returned after inspection. The open wing is not reserved and is available on a first-come basis, as are all the other open shelters in the parks.

WALKING/BIKING TRAIL

The trail starts at Williams Park/YMCA and heads east along State Street to Tietz Park.  From there walkers/bikers may use the sidewalks along E. State St. and Richardson Court to get to where the trail restarts.  Walkers/bikers then will head north until they reach the Bull Ditch area, turning west along the ditch, crossing Finn Drive and then ending at Clarke St.  The trail is signed and marked.  Total length of the trail is 1.3 miles.
