The City of Algona provides taxi service within the city limits of Algona, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM-Noon and 12:30 PM-4:00 PM.  Fare for seniors (60+), handicapped and students is $1 per one way trip.  All others are charged $3 per one way trip.

Transportation arrangements can be made by calling the Algona City Hall at 295-2878.  Wheelchair passengers are asked to make arrangements 24 hours in advance to ensure staff allows sufficient time for pick up and drop off. An attendant may accompany the wheelchair passenger, if necessary, at no charge.  Making arrangements in advance is encouraged for those needing the taxi at a specific date and time.

Transportation for outside the Algona city limits is available by contacting the Kossuth County Transit Service at 641-423-2262. Their hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. excluding holidays.
